Janine Merolla

Janine has directed theatre for youth for over ten years and worked with young people
on devising, creating and writing their own work. After graduating with her masters in
Theatre Education from Emerson College in 2011, she moved to Philadelphia where she
became a teaching artist and freelance director with Philadelphia Young Playwrights,
Theatre Horizon, Walnut St Theatre, First Person Arts and the Wilma Theatre. She then
became Education Director at Wolf Performing Arts Center, a non-profit theatre
education organization for children K-12 in Bryn Mawr, PA. Now, in her role of Artistic
Director, she will continue to develop the performance programs for the multitude of
talented young people in her community.
